We are committed to providing a high quality information retrieval service, staffed by information professionals utilizing current technology, giving customers immediate access to international platforms when, where and in the format they desire. Whilst striving to provide a high commitment to creating a grass roots community hub for all, aimed at preserving the heritage of Alconbury in the form of localized collection development and exhibits, whilst welcoming all ages with our rich variety of family friendly programming and events, which run throughout the year.

SERVICES

The library has free Wi-Fi available and has several PCs for in-house use; to include scanning and printing capabilities (and 3D printer services). As well as DVD players, flip cameras, netbooks and kindles for loan.

Full access to our databases is via daf.dodmwrlibraries.org , which includes Overdrive e-books, Ancestory.com, Fold3, Tutor.com, Universal Class, Mango Language and EBSCO Host as well as a variety of others.

The library offers an extensive programming package; regular children’s programming as well as annual events such as our heritage walks, 1940s day, and ghost tours, as well as summer and winter reading challenges and one off events throughout the year.
